Bucks Photographer gets new awards in Wedding & Portraits

Well despite the rain Jonathan Hilder of Piers Photography has dried off his wet feet from damp weddings and secure 4 bronze awards for his photography from the Guild of Photographers in their June competition.

This is not easy as the competition is judged by a panel of the Guilds well qualified photographers and they are hard task masters. This is one of the ways that Jonathan like to use to develop his photography so that he can learn from all who enter and see the developing styles of wedding and portrait photography in the UK.

When booking your photographer it is always worth asking what training they have had and do they enter competitions as this will help show their commitment to the profession . Membership of trade bodies are also a good indication of the professional nature of your photographer and it is particularly valid when they have gained qualification form their trade body. My own body the Guild of Photographers offers qualifications up to Master Craftsman, which I gained in 2007 and by booking your photographer with these type of qualifications you are guaranteed good photography.

You may ask why I am pushing this point but having recently to helped out two couples where cheap substandard photography ruined their day, I do believe that the old adage to get what you pay for is so true. Photographs tend to be your only really lasting memento of a wedding so make sure you use a professional photographer who you can get on with and like and this will show in your wedding photography.
